Multilateral FundRaised Pakistan’s first multilateral investment fund with Asian Development Bank, International Finance Corporation, and consortium of leading banks in Pakistan.
DivestitureDivestiture of AT&T into seven regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs). It is considered one of the largest and most complex divestiture in the history of telecom sector.
Nigerian National Oil Corporation (‘NNOC’)
Restructuring of the NNOC in 1980 into 14 subsidiaries in Nigeria. It was the largest and most challenging restructuring of a state owned energy company, and involved numerous bureaucratic layers of complexity.
$1.5 billion Private Equity fund for energy investments
Private Equity Fund
Raised a $1.5 billion Private Equity fund with consortium of investors from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Pakistan for the acquisition of energy assets in Pakistan. Successfully acquired the leading utility company – Karachi Electric.
Privatization of Pakistan’s leading utility company which supplies power to the largest city and economic hub of the country, Karachi. K-Electric has a customer account base of over 2.5 million, and around 10,000 employees. It is a vertically integrated power utility.

Dubai Aluminum Company (‘DUBAL’)

DUBAL owns and operates one of the world's largest aluminium smelters. Built on a 480-hectare site in Jebel Ali, the complex's major facilities comprise a 980,000MT per annum aluminium smelter, a 2,335MW power station, desalination plant, and port.
Dubai Drydocks World
Project Finance Advisory
Dubai Drydocks World is the only large dry docks facility in the Persian Gulf. Opening in 1983, it's the largest ship repair facility in the Middle East and one of the world's leading shipyards spread over 200 hectares. It handles around 350 vessels year - mostly very large and ultra-large crude oil tankers.
Strategic Due Diligence
Conducted liquidity and funding risk due diligence of PrivateBank for the $5 billion acquisition by Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). Also developed the post transaction strategy for the integration of PrivateBank’s U.S. business portfolios into CIBC’s.
