Akhtar Zaidi


Chairman

Akhtar was an ex-Partner at Coopers and Lybrand (now PWC), working in London, New York, and other global offices. He was previously the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Dabbagh Group in Saudi Arabia, and co-founded Dabbagh Information Technology with Softbank.

He led the privatization and subsequent acquisition of KESC (K-Electric), and established Pakistan’s first private sector Lenders Club of multilateral (ADB and IFC) and domestic financial institutions (top 5 local banks) for K-Electric. Prior to this, he served as a CEO of KASB Group Pakistan, and also served as Director and Chairman Executive Committee of K-Electric.

Akhtar has closed some of the most difficult M&A transactions, globally valued at over $3 billion. Other major assignments include AT&T divestiture and litigation work at World Court. Akhtar is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (England & Wales) and Pakistan, and has vast experience in transforming and turbo-charging institutions worldwide.

Moosa Raza


Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Moosa is an emerging market expert who has a history of creating value out of complex situations. He has spent over a decade leading complex legal, regulatory, and strategic initiatives that have helped organizations and governments to meet their strategic ambitions. Moosa has advised organizations and governments on transactions involving strategic assets, including privatizations. He is devoted to helping leaders, executives, and policymakers understand, adapt to, and leverage the primary forces shaping the global investment landscape, and the world at large.

Moosa combines his unique specialties in liquidity transformation, financial engineering, and asset monetization to help organizations create new dimensions of value and overcome complex challenges. He has formulated and led strategies that have helped C-level executives and decision-makers to develop new growth markets, acquire and grow complex assets, maximize returns, improve capital efficiency, and enhance the value of underperforming and illiquid assets.

Moosa previously led the U.S. regional risk oversight for the Balance Sheet, Liquidity, and Pension Risk Management group at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). He led the liquidity risk due diligence of the Chicago based PrivateBank for the subsequent $5 billion acquisition by CIBC. Moosa also served as Chairman of the joint Canadian Bankers Association and the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) committee for Basel compliance in Canada. Under his leadership, the committee negotiated and drafted the BCBS239 regulatory framework before the Basel compliance deadline, ensuring that Canadian Banks become a model of stability in the global financial system. He received an Achiever’s Award from CIBC for his leadership.

Before that Moosa worked at CIBC Capital Markets supporting transactions across investment banking, equity and debt capital markets, and structured derivatives. Prior to joining CIBC, he was an investment professional in the private equity and infrastructure group at the McGill Office of Investments. Prior to that, he was an execution consultant at the Shanghai Lansheng Corporation in China, and supported the board of directors on complex transactions in the emerging markets.

Moosa earned his BSc. in Electrical Engineering as a Lyle Scholar from Southern Methodist University. He earned his MBA, with Honors, from McGill University. Moosa is a passionate adventurer and explorer of original landscapes. In his spare time, he loves to trek through uncharted terrains, climb mountains, and explore final frontiers.


Babar Bhatti


Babar’s areas of expertise include digital transformation, artificial intelligence, solution design, product innovation, advanced analytics and machine learning. His focus is on using data, machine learning and AI to improve product features, operational efficiency and customer experiences.

Previously, he was co-founder and CEO of MutualMind, a social media analytics company that served global brands such as IBM, American Airlines, Nestle, and Hilton. After MutualMind was acquired by Shapiro+Raj, he served as Head of Digital there. Babar also held various management positions at Verizon Communications and won multiple innovation awards.

He is co-founder and organizer of Dallas AI, a meet up group of over 2000 professionals interested in Artificial Intelligence. He is founder of Quantum Grid Labs, a think tank organization. He is an advisor and mentor to many organizations. He has served as chairman, MIT Enterprise Forum of Dallas Fort Worth.

Babar holds dual MS from MIT in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Technology and Policy. He has a Masters from University of Tokyo and Bachelors in Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.

Mike Kurt


Mike is a cloud transformation leader and a subject matter expert in cloud Strategy and delivery. Prior to joining Deloitte, he was a Sr. Solutions Architect for Amazon Web Services at Accenture and led Amazon Connect (Contact Center Technology) for North America for Accenture AWS Business Group.

As a Cloud Infrastructure lead at Raytheon, Mike led the first cloud transformation initiative for Raytheon's intelligence services. Prior to Raytheon, he held Sr. Consultant and technical lead positions of increased responsibility within Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Overseas and Arrowpoint solutions Inc.; where he led and managed heterogeneous warfighter system (TBMCS) operations for its defense customers with total values exceeding $65 million. His key responsibilities included Infrastructure design, deployment, sustainment, and training of the system worldwide.

Throughout his professional career, Mike has supported three overseas missions which include Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Horn of Africa (HOA).

Mike holds a Master’s degree in Information Management Systems from the Harvard University.


Noriko Suzuki


Noriko is currently a private advisor to a number of Gulf State Royal Families, and chairs the boards of several leading GCC companies. She was previously Regional Director for Asia at Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA). She helped to expand inward investment from Japan, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, and Australia into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She also contributed to the development of closer economic ties between Japan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the conclusion of bilateral investment treaties between Saudi Arabia and Japan and the Republic of Korea.

Before joining SAGIA, Noriko was Director of the Gulf-Japan Relations Program for the Gulf Research Center Foundation, and prior to this, she was a Director and board member of the Dabbagh Group. Her prior experience includes working in New York with Morgan Stanley.

Noriko attended the University of Sacred Heart in Tokyo; she has an MSc in International Relations from Princeton University, and an MSc in Multinational Management and Marketing from Wharton.

Narkisos Georgiadis


Narkisos has more than 25 years of experience in general management, strategy development, turnarounds, and international business growth through M&A and integrations. Before starting his own boutique advisory in 2016, focusing on innovation, strategy, and growth, he worked as Group CEO of €150 million ATHEX-listed Hellenic Fabrics textiles group (2008-2016), as Executive Board Member of €4.2 billion DaimlerChrysler Italia (2005-07), as President and CEO of €300 million EvoBus Italia SpA (2005-2007), and as President and CEO of €100 million EvoBus Hellas SA (1998-2005).

Narkisos is an experienced strategist and business leader, blending excellent commercial skills with strong financial acumen to deliver bottom line improvements and increased shareholder value in periods of change and challenging economic times.

He has a Degree in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh (USA), an MBA from Manchester Business School (UK), and an Executive Degree in General Management from St. Gallen Business School (Switzerland).


Nabeel Syed


Nabeel has over twenty five years of diversified experience with progressive institutions engaged in undertaking bold business transformation initiatives that deliver bottom-line impact. He is an Execution specialist and has provided value enhancements for projects as well as businesses that have generated high ROI, substantial improvement in investment allocation, and debt reduction for the clients. He has hands on multi-disciplinary experience in corporate / investment banking, advisory, financial management, M&A, strategic management, business planning, project development, GRC and MIS. His experience spans across multiple industries including energy, F&B, banking, consulting, distribution, retail, real-estate, and FMCG.

Nabeel started his career at MCB, working in the corporate and investment banking. He then joined Societe Generale, where he led a number of off-shore/on-shore corporate financing transactions, including the landmark privatization of UBL. He later founded ACE Consultants where he led a number of M&A and advisory services transactions. After that, he joined Ramz Consulting as Senior Consultant, and was part of the team that led the Strategic Management and Turnaround of K-Electric for the private equity portfolio of one of the largest Middle Eastern business groups. His other assignments have included development of Business growth strategies, M&A transactions, and corporate advisory for leading international organizations. After that he joined IBL Group as Director Finance of distribution and retail. He undertook various initiatives that resulted in considerable improvements in the profitability & cash-flow enhancement through debt reduction and other restructuring initiatives.

Nabeel later joined Clarmond House as a senior team member, and was engaged by a leading Saudi Group for their investment program in the Middle East. He led a country-wide strategic assessment, executed a number of M&A transactions, and structured deals. He was most recently an Advisor to the Chairman of a leading multinational F&B group based in the Middle East, with integrated operations in production, trading, and distribution in ten countries.

Akram Durrani


Akram is a change management specialist with broad experience in mergers & acquisitions and divestitures in Pakistan and in the ASEAN region. His experience spans industries related to aviation, telecommunications, banking, utilities, and manufacturing. Akram possesses deep expertise in the planning and implementation of business process outsourcing, human resources processes, and in transformation of public sector entities into privately-held commercial ventures.

Akram was previously CEO of DH Fertilizers Limited, a subsidiary of Dawood Hercules Corporation Ltd, and before that was the Director HR. Prior to that, he was GM HR at Wateen Telecom, and previously served as Executive Director HR of Karachi Electric Supply Company Limited (KESC). Prior to that he worked at the State Bank of Pakistan, implementing a World Bank-sponsored reforms agenda. Before that, Akram worked at American Express in Singapore and in Pakistan. Earlier, he led Paktel to become a market leader in cable and wireless services in Pakistan, and helped develop the HR strategy and division at Saudi Arabian Airlines in Jeddah.


Wajahat Athar


Wajahat is a Supply Chain and Operational Performance Enhancement expert. He has more than 22 years of work experience in leading turnarounds, transformations, operational improvements.

He has previously worked for well reputed Organizations such as Philips Electrical industries and Reckitt Benckiser Pakistan and also abroad for European Tobacco Inc. in Greece. He has worked as Executive Director Supply Chain for KESC, as Vice President Commercial for Byco Oil Pakistan Ltd and also has served as Chief Operating Officer International Business for Lucky Cement Pakistan Ltd. He brings a wealth of experience in the field of Supply Chain with an excellent view of various industries and businesses.

Wajahat has an MBA from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.

S. Ali Haider


Hyder is a results oriented executive with three decades of diversified international experience as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer in diverse industries including Power and Energy, Construction & Engineering, Manufacturing, FMCG, Warehousing, Distribution, Logistics & Transportation, IT, and Healthcare. He has developed and implemented long-term strategic plans at some of the world’s largest organizations, leading to cost reductions, operational efficiency enhancements, and improved performance. He is known for excellence in realizing synergies across the corporate value chain.

Some of his projects at iP2 Consulting, Inc. included compliance audit, developing Performance Management System & Bench Marking exercises. He also contributed in developing medical lab efficiency matrices based on Quality with Speed. Prior to that he was Chief Operating Officer at the House of Habib where he implemented international best practices (IFRS) & accounting standards, and created relationships to develop auto sector business with Honda, Suzuki, Toyota, Hino and Al-Haj FAW. Before that he was Chief Strategy Officer at Karachi Electric and was part of the team which led the turnaround of the company to profitable venture within 4 years. He led the implementation of SAP-ISU to curtail distribution side losses. Before that, he oversaw the Accounting and Financial Reporting functions at IDEC Corporation’s Canadian and Australian Subsidiaries. Prior to that he worked at Merrill Lynch (USA) where he managed $70 million market-neutral portfolio of public equities.

Hyder graduated from Johnson Graduate School’s MBA program at Cornell University with focus on finance and strategy. He is pursuing the CPA designation from the Maine Board of Accountancy.


Hasan S. Siddiqui


Hassan is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with more than 12 years of experience in financial due diligence and transactions advisory. His expertise includes Financial Restructuring, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Business Case Modeling. He has worked on some of the largest transactions, and conducted strategic due diligence and valuation of companies from different sectors including logistics, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and textiles. Hassan holds an MBA in Finance.

Arsalan Asghar


Arsalan is a Senior Software Developer whose areas of expertise include mean stack application development, mobile application development, and remote computing applications.

He previously worked as a Senior Software Developer at IT4Banks, where specialized in both client-end and server-side software development. Before that he worked as lead technical expert at Infotech.


Mohammad Hussain


Hussain is a Senior software developer and specializes in enterprise service solutions, web and mobile development, building web applications with Node.js, and cloud based mobile solutions.

He previously worked as a software engineer at a leading software development firm. Prior to that we worked as a software engineer at Bluewire. Before that we was a software engineer at Wired Analytics . Prior to that he worked at the Microsoft Innovation Center in Pakistan.

Salman Naseer


Salman is a Digital Product’s Specialist with over 10 years of experience in Digital Project Management and Product Design. He is a Sr. Programmer with deep experience data analysis and full stack development. He has managed over 80+ digital projects for the largest companies in Pakistan.

He has previously completed critical projects for corporate clients such as Coca-Cola, Fatima Group, Ocean Air Internal, Neelum Flour & Mills, OGDCL, WorldCall and Mobilink.


Basit Siddiqui


Basit is a transactions advisory expert with more than 15 years of experience in financial reporting, corporate governance, turnarounds, restructuring, and financial advisory. He has worked on advisory mandates for a diverse group of industries including pharmaceutical, logistics, energy, and natural resources. He specializes in restructurings and mergers & acquisitions. In the past, Basit has conducted due diligence and detailed valuation analyses on the largest public and private companies in Pakistan. He was part of the deal team which led the Privatization of K-Electric, a game changing deal in Pakistan’s utility sector. Basit is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Sarv Kumar


Sarv is a Digital and Advanced Analytics based strategy expert with over 20 years of management consulting background spanning diverse industries. He has advised the world’s largest brands and organizations on digital strategy, AI based customer journey and behavior analytics, advanced analytics for brand, product, and pricing, and delivery of complex data solutions that coincide with strategic objectives.

Sarv specializes in expert in Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, IoT, and Industry 4.0 delivery. He was previously the lead Analytics Consultant at CapGemini. Before that he was a Senior Consultant for Strategy and Transformation & Marketing Analytics at Accenture. Prior to that he was an Advanced Analytics Specialist at BCG.

He has a Master’s degree from Northern Illinois University in Management Information Systems and a bachelors’ degree in Engineering.
